Job Description
We’re looking for a highly strategic, analytically driven finance leader to serve as our Director, Strategic Finance. In this role, you will partner directly with executive leadership to shape the company’s financial roadmap, guide strategic decision-making, and drive long-term growth across a fast-moving, highly regulated financial services environment.
You will lead financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analytics while acting as a thought partner to our CFO, and business line leaders. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable operating at the 30,000-ft strategic level and diving deep into financial data to uncover insights and opportunities.
How you’ll make an impact:
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
Lead long-range planning, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and scenario modeling.
Develop models that evaluate new products, pricing strategies, and credit risk impacts.
Provide insights and recommendations that shape company-wide strategy.
Executive Partnership & Decision Support
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership; translate complex financial data into clear, actionable guidance.
Support CEO/CFO with board materials, investor narratives, and executive presentations.
Challenge assumptions, pressure-test ideas, and help leaders make informed, data-driven decisions.
Business Performance & Analytics
Own KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that track performance across all business lines.
Partner with Revenue, Operations, Risk, Product, and Marketing teams to analyze trends and optimize outcomes.
Conduct deep-dive analyses on pricing, unit economics, credit performance, and customer behavior.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with FP&A, Accounting, Risk, and Data teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and alignment.
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts, driving excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Build repeatable processes, tools, and operating rhythms that scale with the business.
Special Projects & Growth Initiatives
Drive financial evaluation for new markets, partnerships, and strategic opportunities.
Support M&A assessments, due diligence, and integration planning where applicable.
Lead complex financial initiatives that improve efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and operational performance.
What you’ll need to succeed:
7–10+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or related areas.
Experience in fintech, consumer finance, payments, banking, or another highly regulated industry preferred.
Strong modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis skills; expert-level Excel/Sheets.
Proven success partnering with senior executives and influencing decisions.
Ability to simplify complex analyses into clear narratives for executive audiences.
Experience leading teams and building financial processes from the ground up.
High degree of business acumen, curiosity, and problem-solving ability.
Strong understanding of credit, unit economics, and data-driven decision-making is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
