Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Manager, TI Finance, Segment Advisory, Planning & Forecasting, will be responsible for executing on all aspects of Segment allocations, primarily for the Planning, and Forecasting processes. The Manager will ensure the accuracy and completeness of the allocations data, as well as proactively provide advice and support to the business Segments as it relates to the Technology Infrastructure charge outs, particularly for Plan and Forecast activities.  The Manager will also be responsible for the development of key control processes for allocation methodology as well as act as a liaison to APPTIO Support Team, TI Business Office and Segment Finance partners to evaluate technology optimization initiatives.

What you will do?

  • Responsible for the analytical insight to drive the Segment Allocations for Plan, and Forecast
  • Support the Senior Manager in the annual planning, and regular forecasting process.
  • Produce the executive commentary for Segment Finance decks related to Plan and Forecast discussions.
  • Responsible for the development of the analytical tools to reconcile data in EPM and APPTIO for Plan, including version control, change logging, and any normalized views as required, as well as determining the impact of changes in hierarchy, service offering allocations, and scenario analysis.
  • Assist with the development of data controls and governance of allocations in financial source systems for Plan, Actuals and Forecast.
  • Provide impact analysis and estimates for projects and risk & regulatory initiatives, including quantifying YTD impact and estimates when allocation % change
  • Demonstrate a strong control mindset and perform due diligence to ensure the accuracy of Segment allocations including the accurate and timely upload to EPM and Performance Management reporting template, presentations and variance/impact analysis.
  • Responsible for handling ad hoc Segment allocation inquiries, conduct data analytics, provide recommendations, and communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Provide automation and efficiency recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Support Segment Finance and internal T&O teams through analysis of both Segment and Interdepartmental allocations.
  • Maintain Plan playbooks including key assumptions and drivers that can be leveraged for variance analysis.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 4+ years of experience in finance/accounting
  • University degree in Finance/Accounting or related field/ or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficient with RBC Financial Systems and tools EPM, Apptio, PeopleSoft
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, superior interpersonal and effective collaboration skills, to act as a change agent and facilitator and to establish relationships across all levels of the enterprise, superior business acumen
  • Strong analytical background with an ability to translate data into key messages/ insights and effectively communicate these messages and recommendations to Executives
