Position Overview

The Apollo PCLS Sales team is part of Apollo’s Capital Solutions platform, focused on providing liquidity across private credit and structured products. They specialize in trading asset-backed securities, private credit, and other alternative fixed-income instruments. The team combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative, entrepreneurial approach to deliver tailored solutions to institutional clients.  This role is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, analytically minded sales professional to help build and scale a differentiated business at the intersection of private markets, credit, and structured finance.

We are seeking a Sales Associate who will sit within the AA business and report directly to the Head of PCLS. This associate will be focused on cultivating institutional relationships, supporting transaction execution, and developing market insights to drive client engagement.  The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in leveraged finance or corporate credit sales, complemented by a broader understanding of the global credit landscape and the evolving needs of private market investors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional clients to understand their investment needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Support transaction execution by coordinating with internal teams, preparing materials, and ensuring smooth deal flow.
  • Partner closely with the investment, structuring, and research teams to translate complex credit opportunities into compelling client narratives and actionable investment ideas.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to generate actionable insights that inform sales strategies and client conversations.
  •  Monitor market activity, fund flows, and relative value trends across public and private credit markets to inform client dialogue and support business development initiatives.
  • Leverage CRM tools and market intelligence to manage pipeline, track client engagement, and identify emerging business opportunities.
  • Drive client engagement through proactive outreach, regular communication, and strategic idea generation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in leveraged finance, corporate credit, or broader macro credit sales, preferably at a leading investment bank, asset manager, or capital markets platform.
  • Deep understanding of credit products, capital structures, and institutional investor dynamics, with an ability to engage confidently across a range of client types.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts in a clear, persuasive, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated track record of building relationships and driving outcomes in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
  • Proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working across functions in a startup-style team within a large institutional framework.
  • High degree of integrity, intellectual curiosity, and emotional intelligence—essential qualities for success within Apollo’s performance-driven and collaborative culture.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; familiarity with private credit markets, structured products, or secondary trading is strongly preferred.

Pay Range

$175,000 - $200,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
