You will be a high performing contributor who will utilise their technical expertise in data analytics to help lead the development and implementation of successful business outcomes and deliverables.

This role will be in Home Buying’s Manage & Own Crew reporting into the Chapter Area Lead of Retail Advanced Analytics & Data. We are at the forefront of providing exceptional customer experiences and solving in-life journey pain points.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Advanced Data Analysis & Modelling:
Develop predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and other advanced techniques. Ensure robustness, accuracy, and relevance of solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with senior management to identify business challenges solvable through analytics. Communicate complex concepts clearly and actionably.

Methods & Standards:
Establish best practices in analytics. Ensure integrity, quality, transparency, reproducibility, scalability, governance, and ethics.

Mentorship & Leadership:
Mentor junior analysts, support skill development, and guide analytical work.

Business Impact & Value Generation:
Align strategies with organisational goals to maximise value. Ensure timely, high-quality insights.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Stay updated on trends in data science and machine learning. Drive innovation in methodologies.

 

Required experience:

  • Excellent experience across Data Analytics or similar experience (e.g. actuary, pricing, or credit risk);

  • Must have proven experience working with SQL to extract data from complex datasets;

  • Extensive experience in using data driven analytics to develop dashboards, insights and recommendations;

  • Proven experience building and maintaining predictive models/machine learning algorithms

  • Ability to understand complex problems and take a structured approach using data-driven insights to solve;

  • Experience with analytical tools and platforms such as R / Python and/or GitHub is preferred;

  • Knowledge and experience in Banking (customers, products, systems, processes) is preferred;

  • Experience with Agile tools and methodologies is preferred;

  • Experience with using AI virtual assistants / prompt engineering

  • Degree in relevant discipline (Actuarial, Statistics, Maths, Economics, Engineering or Sciences).
