Job Description
Essential Job Duties
- Administer and facilitate all training systems (KMS, Workday)
- Administer all document control processes including document updates, approvals, and retention.
- Provide Audit support for the global EHS Audit, IFS, GMP and SMETA. Assist in completion of annual EHS Audit and compliance to the audit.
- Administer and manage the Ames Website.
- Administer new hire onboarding for KMS, FMS, locker management, team pictures and training checklists.
- Facilitate Heads-up safety program.
- Oversite of contractor training including training and documentation.
- Administer internal quality and safety audit system (I-Auditor and all monthly safety audits). Perform audits as needed.
- Oversight of Proactive Safety Activities and Safety Observations. (audits and accountability)
- Manage building access and badge system.
- Manage all facility maps and posted documentation.
- Additional duties as assigned for EHS, Quality and Training.
Education & Certification
- High School diploma with secondary technical training, or equivalent work experience, required. Quality Auditor, or similar level, certification from accredited quality management program preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of SPC, STRONG computer literacy, blueprints, problem-solving skills and techniques
- Ability to operate quality control equipment such as laser mics, top wave, gas chromatography, borematic gauges, height gauges, magna mics, moisture gauges.
- Working knowledge of computer software, such as Excel, Word, and other company systems
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of auditors, customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply such concepts as fractions, percentages, ratio and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand or walk for 8 hours
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel, and climb stairs
- Regularly uses hands to handle and feel product
- Regularly required to communicate with other employees and be aware of sounds in the plant
- Must frequently lift and/or move 30 pounds.
