Role and Key Responsibilities:
Trainer Role (PEP Screening Process)
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on PEP screening protocols, tools, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring they understand PEP identification criteria, escalation procedures, and documentation standards.
- Facilitate refresher trainings and upskilling workshops to keep the team updated on evolving global PEP definitions and compliance expectations.
- Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, job aids, and reference guides tailored to the PEP screening process.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to identify knowledge gaps and address them through targeted training interventions.
- Lead calibration sessions to align understanding of PEP risk thresholds, screening logic, and decision-making standards across teams.
- Provide individual coaching and mentoring to analysts to improve performance, accuracy, and confidence in handling complex PEP cases.
- Monitor training effectiveness through feedback surveys, performance metrics, and post-training assessments.
- Stay informed on changes in global regulatory frameworks (e.g., FATF, OFAC, UN, EU, HMT) and update training content accordingly.
- Support internal audits and regulatory reviews by ensuring team members are well-versed in documentation and escalation protocols.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure training aligns with business goals, compliance standards, and operational needs.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and compliance awareness within the team.
Key Skills and knowledge – Trainer Role (PEP Screening Process)
- Deep understanding of PEP screening frameworks, AML compliance, and global regulatory requirements.
- Experience with PEP screening tools (e.g., World-Check, Dow Jones, LexisNexis) and case management systems.
- Strong training delivery skills, including facilitation, presentation, and instructional design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse learners and stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory concepts into clear, actionable training content.
- Experience in conducting calibration sessions, coaching, and performance feedback.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify and address process or knowledge gaps.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and e-learning platforms.
- Certification in AML/KYC/Sanctions (e.g., CAMS, ICA) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-compliance, high-risk environment.
