Position Overview

We’re looking for a seasoned U.S. Benefits Manager to design, optimize, and deliver best-in-class benefits programs that enhance employee experience while balancing cost and compliance. This role is anchored in the U.S. but plays a visible part in shaping our broader global benefits strategy, working closely with our broker partners and cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll bring both strategic vision (multi-year roadmaps, program innovation, cost management) and operational excellence (process improvement, compliance, employee engagement).

If you’re a benefits expert who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and people leadership, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on how Autodesk attracts, retains, and supports talent.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of benefits analysts/partners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations

  • Own and evolve Autodesk’s U.S. benefits programs, ensuring they remain competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with employee needs

  • Develop and execute a multi-year benefits roadmap that reflects business priorities, workforce trends, and employee feedback

  • Lead annual enrolment processes end-to-end, including vendor coordination, communications, and compliance deliverables

  • Partner with Finance and our broker to drive cost optimization strategies while safeguarding benefit quality and perceived value

  • Oversee relationships with U.S. benefit vendors and our global broker, holding partners accountable for performance, service, and innovation

  • Implement operational process improvements to streamline administration, reduce complexity, and enhance employee experience

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all U.S. federal and state regulations

  • Support global benefits initiatives by sharing best practices and contributing to cross-regional projects as needed

  • Provide clear, employee-friendly communications that make complex benefits topics easy to understand and engaging

  • Partner with HR, Total Rewards, Legal, and Communications to ensure programs are integrated into the overall employee value proposition

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in US benefits management, with at least 3 years in a management role

  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership and employees

  • Demonstrated expertise in program design, administration, and compliance

  • Proven ability to design and deliver multi-year benefits strategies that balance cost, competitiveness, and employee experience

  • Strong track record of vendor and broker management; global broker relationship experiences desirable

  • Experience with cost optimization, plan design evaluation, and process improvements in benefits administration

  • Skilled in program management with the ability to translate strategy into operational execution

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex benefits concepts in clear, employee-friendly language

  • Strong analytical mindset; able to interpret plan data, identify trends, and recommend data-driven improvements

  • Familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration platforms; comfort navigating data analytics tools
