Focus of the Role

Fulfilling the role of Technology Team Lead in the Strategy, Systems & Performance Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering technology-driven solutions that will support a safe, secure, and mentally healthy organizational culture. You are responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital and operational platforms that align with our T30 Strategy. Your unique technical expertise will help you to drive focused initiatives that will not only facilitate enhanced workplace productivity but also improve health and safety performance.

Your leadership is grounded in advanced interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaboration, allowing you to work effectively with stakeholders across technology, and various business areas such HR, and Safety, Security, and Wellbeing. What You’ll Do

People, Culture and Communications - Wellbeing & Workplace Relations oversees Telstra's wellbeing and workplace relations programs.

  • Lead a technical team in the development and implementation of workplace health, safety, and wellbeing IT platforms, business intelligence applications (PowerBI), and AI tools.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for technology integration in all areas of health, safety, wellbeing and environment programs.
  • Coordinate and monitor technology-enabled information, ensuring confidentiality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative data and research to inform system design and problem-solving, considering multiple stakeholder perspectives.
  • Recommend and deliver human-centered technology solutions.
  • Facilitate post-implementation reviews and retrospectives, leveraging insights to drive continuous solution iteration and optimization.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in health and safety and risk management technology, using these insights to influence better practice strategy and solutions.
  • Ensure documentation, reporting, and presentation of technical solutions is clear, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Empower team members to make informed decisions, act independently, and contribute to complex problem-solving.
  • Negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve technology goals while building strong professional relationships.

About You

Essential

•            Stakeholder Engagement experience

•            3 years’ experience managing technology applications

•            Demonstrated ability to deal with complex organizational and technical issues

•            Relevant business and industry technology experience

Highly desirable

•            Experience in strategic program implementation

•       Skills in innovation, creative solution design, and communications

•       Experience with technology platforms, (incident and investigation management knowledge viewed favorably)

•       Proven record of delivering cross-functional technology-based projects on time and within budget

•       Experience with leveraging AI and PowerBI to provide data driven insights

  • An understanding of HR and/or Health and Safety would be favorably viewed
