Shop Foreman / Lead Diesel Mechanic – Georgetown, ON

Location: Georgetown, Ontario

Shift: Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians in the shop
  • Schedule and perform maintenance and repairs on a fleet of school buses
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Generate and manage work orders, ensuring timely completion
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Monitor shop performance and implement improvements
  • Ensure adherence to Ontario Ministry of Transportation regulations and safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License; willingness to obtain a Class B license (we provide training)
  • Experience in diesel or automotive maintenance and repair
  • Previous experience in a lead technician or supervisory role preferred
  • Must possess a complete mechanic’s tool set
  • Willingness to participate in ASE certification program (training and bonuses provided)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
