Support Officer Livestock

About the role

We are looking for a Support Officer – Livestock to join the growing team at Elders Roseworthy on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about agriculture and eager to build a long-term career in the livestock industry. You’ll be hands-on, working directly with livestock in the yards, supporting our livestock agents and sales processing teams, and learning the ropes from experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
 

• Working closely with the livestock and sales processing teams to support livestock sales
• Assisting during the execution of livestock sales and ensuring smooth, safe operations
• Moving and handling livestock in a safe and orderly manner
• Supporting other areas of the branch, including rural product sales, warehouse operations, and administration
• Working constructively with team members to foster a positive and collaborative culture

About you
 

• Have experience in handling livestock and an understanding of safe livestock handling practices
• Have sales yard experience (preferred but not essential)
• Be passionate about agriculture and eager to learn across different areas of the business
• Be reliable, punctual, and proactive with a strong work ethic
• Have excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth
