Student Worker I - TX-TF

The Role at a Glance

The Student Worker I provides general administrative assistance to the Texas Task Force. Performs data entry into the current Task Force database, scans and attaches documents, and enters classes into the student records system. Assists with document retention and destruction.

This position reports to the Project Coordinator III.

Qualifications of the Role:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree-granting program at an accredited college or university.

  • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages:

Data entry - 70%

  • Creates and/or updates existing records in the Task Force database.

  • Scans and attaches constituent information from external sources.

  • Enters data and classes into TEEX student management systems.

  • Maintains Excel spreadsheets.

Task Force Records – 20%

  • Copies, files, sorts, and compiles Task Force records.

  • Scans student class folders into the computer daily.

Document Disposal - 5%

  • Properly destroys old Task Force documents.

Other Duties - 5%

  • Maintains and safeguards equipment and property.

  • Maintains a clean and neat appearance.

  • Maintains an orderly and clean workspace.

  • Assists with department filing, scanning and organization.

  • Performs computer updates.

  • Assists with filing and making copies as needed.

  • Performs additional work duties as assigned.
