Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a proficient Sr Program Manager to guide the advancement of a medical device product development endeavor. This project encompasses multiple systems or subsystems with a high level of complexity. The task involves spearheading diverse internal and external develop, development, and manufacturing sites to bring about a highly complex and customizable product. The individual in this role will be tasked with propelling technical and business outcomes through influence, collaboration, and negotiation, when needed.

The chosen applicant will serve as the program's general manager, leading all aspects from inception to completion, and ensuring fulfillment of all business obligations. This position will head the dedicated core team, coordinating with all appropriate cross-functional collaborators for achievement. Furthermore, this individual will manage the project, guaranteeing its development and delivery within the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects aligned with business strategy, goals, and timelines
  • Translate business requirements into actionable plans, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives
  • Manage project scope, schedules, deliverables, resource allocation across multiple business units
  • Ensure technical feasibility and compliance with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., QMS, FDA)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate progress, align expectations, and maintain strong relationships
  • Oversee project budgets, control costs, and resolve discrepancies
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, regulatory, and commercial risks
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business (Master’s preferred)

  • 10+ years of medical device development experience, including 6+ years in program management

  • Proven success managing complex projects within scope, budget, and timeline

  • Strong technical background in device invention, testing, and validation

  • Skilled in cross-functional leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder communication

  • Proficient in risk management, problem-solving, and data-driven decision making

  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and quality systems

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, PMP certification, and Six Sigma

  • Understanding of medical device software development and validation

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000-$198,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
