About the Role:

CrowdsStrike’s internal SRE teams are dedicated to ensuring our developers have a reliable platform to build on. We are looking for a Sr Engineer to drive our ongoing improvements to automation and our service offerings. You’ll be working on a distributed team to lead the administration of our services platform spanning multiple clouds and data centers leveraging an assorted tech stack. This is a fast paced environment and candidates will need to have experience managing multiple interconnected projects and making timely decisions that balance short and long term goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect, implement, manage, maintain and support artifact management, SCM, and CI/CD systems

  • Lead architectural reviews of highly available services at an enterprise scale

  • Manage multiple high level projects from inception to completion with attention to detail of resource needs and usage, current and forecasted capacity needs, and licensing requirements

  • Develop and enforce best practices, while maintaining focus on developer experience

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and availability with automation

  • Improve reliability, quality, and serviceability of systems

  • Interact with internal customers to understand needs across the business, develop a road map and execute

  • Partner with and mentor other engineers both within and outside the team

What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of experience working in a large-scale production environment

  • Service administration expertise with the following services:

    • CI/CD tools (Bazel, Github Actions, Jenkins, or similar)

    • Artifact repository services (Artifactory, Nexus, Quay.io or similar)

    • IaC Provisioning tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform or similar)

    • Source Code Management (Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github or similar)

  • Experience with deploying applications in both virtualized and containerized environments at enterprise scale

  • Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams

  • Must exhibit attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions

  • Ability to make trade offs between short term and long term goals

  • Demonstrated self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast pace/quickly changing environment

  • Security-mindset, general understanding of cybersecurity principles

  • A willingness to seek out and raise process improvement feedback to leadership

  • A strong desire to champion a culture of mentorship in leading platform development alongside other engineers

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $140,000 - $215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
