The Sr. Business Partner, FP&A, Workday Adaptive Planning & SG&A serves as a key strategic leader within the BPT organization, driving both financial system excellence and business partnership across all SG&A functions. This role blends operational finance leadership with system ownership, overseeing, enhancing, and optimizing Workday Adaptive Planning while partnering closely with the Senior Leadership Team and 80+ cost center owners. By providing cost transparency, actionable insights, and trusted financial guidance, the Sr. Business Partner empowers data-driven decisions, strengthens financial discipline, and proactively identifies opportunities and risks to improve SG&A performance.
Key responsibilities: Sr. Business Partner, FP&A, Workday Adaptive Planning & SG&A
Workday Adaptive Planning Ownership & Support (≈75%)
•Adaptive Ownership: Serve as the subject matter expert and primary administrator for Workday Adaptive Planning.
•Build, Maintain, and Optimize Models, Reports, Dashboards, and Worksheets: Support FP&A, Controllership, and Operations Finance needs through effective model design, insightful reporting, and streamlined processes.
•Manage Adaptive Security and Process: Manage all aspects of security and process of calculated accounts, version management, and data integrations with Workday and other source systems.
•Partnership with Key Stakeholders: Build and sustain relationships with IT and HRIS on system governance, data validation, and integration management.
•Training and User Support: Support finance users across functions, resolving issues, troubleshooting models or security challenges, and managing ServiceNow tickets or Workday Community cases.
•Lead Configuration, Testing, and Enhancements: Consider, recommend and enhance new features, functionality, and releases. Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline planning and reporting processes.
•Maintain Detailed System Documentation: System documentation is a key support system for adoption and best practice and includes user guides, and training materials; conduct training sessions for finance and business partners.
SG&A Finance Business Partnership (≈25%)
•Lead SG&A Forecasting & Budgeting: Own the forecasting, budgeting (AOP), and monthly close process for SG&A across all functions.
•Drive Business Partnership and Cost Ownership: Collaborate with functional leaders and 80+ cost center owners, to drive ownership, improve financial performance, and provide day-to-day operating expense guidance.
•Deliver Variance Analysis and Executive-Level Insights: Conduct monthly variance analysis to highlight risks and opportunities, and provide clear, actionable commentary to executive leadership.
•Drive Cost Visibility & and Accountability: Develop intuitive reporting and insights (i.e., dashboards, trackers) that enable non-finance stakeholders to understand drivers of spend, take ownership, and make informed decisions.
•Enhance Financial Processes & and Tools: Continuously improve financial processes and reporting workflows, streamlining systems including Adaptive and optimizing dashboards for clarity, efficiency and impact.
•Stakeholder Education & and Influence: Serve as a bridge between Finance and other functions – building financial acumen, promoting accountability and shaping better financial decision-making across the organization.
•Flag Financial Risks Timely: Provide accurate outlook for the month, monitor budget adherence, flag deviations proactively, and partner with leaders to implement corrective actions.
•Lead and Develop SG&A team: Mentor and guide three dotted-line reports responsible for SG&A data, reporting, and hand-on operations. Provide coaching, skill-building, and ongoing feedback to support their professional growth and ensure high-quality output.

Required and Preferred Education/Certification
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field (required)
•MBA or any accounting certification (preferred)
•Familiarity with ERP and forecasting tools (required)
Required and Preferred Work Experience
•3+ years of progressive Finance experience (required)
•3-5+ years of hands-on ERP experience (required)
•Experience in FP&A, cost management and business partnering (required)
•Experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders (preferred)
Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities.
