The Senior Product Manager will drive the development and optimisation of our payment solutions. This role is crucial in aligning customer needs with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring that the product delivers value to users while meeting business objectives. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and compliance teams to develop innovative products and features in the highly competitive and fast-paced payments space.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the company’s payment products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., leadership, customers, and partners) to identify market needs, competitive landscape, and customer pain points.
  • Prioritise product features, enhancements, and innovations based on business impact, customer demand, and market trends.
  • Continuously assess the payments landscape and fintech regulations to ensure the product remains competitive and compliant.

2. Product Development

  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management, from ideation through development, testing, launch, and iteration.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, design, and business units, ensuring clear communication and smooth execution.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine product features pre- and post-launch.
  • Oversee go-to-market strategies, collaborating with marketing and sales teams for product launches.

3. Customer Experience and Market Research

  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback through interviews, surveys, and data analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Analyse customer journeys and payment flows to identify friction points and optimise user experiences.
  • Monitor key product metrics (e.g., conversion rates, transaction volumes, NPS) and use data to drive product improvements.
  • Stay informed about competitor products, new technologies, and industry best practices.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with legal, compliance, and risk teams to ensure all payment products meet regulatory and security requirements.
  • Work closely with finance teams to assess the pricing, transaction costs, and revenue impact of new features or services.
  • Engage with external partners and vendors (e.g., banks, payment processors) to integrate third-party services when necessary.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to craft effective messaging, user onboarding flows, and customer support strategies for product rollouts.

5. Innovation and Thought Leadership

  • Identify emerging trends in payments technology, digital wallets, cryptocurrency, and banking as a service (BaaS) to drive innovation.
  • Explore opportunities for integrating new payment methods (e.g., instant payments, cross-border transfers, buy now, pay later) into the product suite.
  • Present product updates and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within fintech, payments, or a related financial services industry.
    • Proven track record of managing successful product launches and delivering user-centric solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
    • Experience working on B2B, B2C, or platform products related to payments or financial technology.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of payments systems, fintech infrastructure, digital wallets, APIs, and financial regulations
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to inform product decisions and improve key metrics.
    • Proficient in agile development processes and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana).
    • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineering, marketing, legal, and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations of product development.

Preferred Qualifications
