Senior Manager, Regulatory, Product & Sales Compliance (12 months contract)

The Senior Manager (12-month contract), Regulatory, Product & Sales Compliance, Hong Kong will specialize in compliance advisory and review for product and marketing materials, regulatory compliance and sales compliance. This position requires good knowledge in compliance matters related to product governance, sales practices and marketing material reviews. Key responsibilities include:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide compliance support for the Regulatory, Product & Sales Compliance team, specializing in regulatory, product, sales process and marketing materials review; 

  • Assist in the development of effective product and selling process compliance programs, including identification, evaluation of controls for relevant regulatory requirements;

  • Advise and support the implementation of policies/ procedures and control measures including selling processes, post sales operations, etc.;

  • Support the IFP (Individual Financial Products) and GLH (Group Life & Health) business to roll out new regulatory requirements and ongoing monitoring;

  • Provide advisory support on business projects and new compliance initiatives;

  • Provide compliance advice and clearance for product and marketing campaigns, business campaigns and media releases; and

  • Compile regular compliance/ regulatory reports and support annual corporate compliance reporting exercises

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree holder in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant discipline;

  • At least 5-8 years’ compliance / regulatory / compliance related consulting experience with 3 years in the area of insurance or asset management compliance preferred;

  • Experience in dealing with regulators, such as the Insurance Authority and Securities and Futures Commission, preferred 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills in English and Chinese, both spoken and written;

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Regulatory or compliance related experience;

  • Willing to accept challenges and able to adapt to changes;

  • Attentive to details and able to work independently and proactively;

  • Good product knowledge of life insurance business preferred
