The Position

The Organon Business Technology Services team is responsible for the operation, support, delivery, and enhancement of Organon’s IT systems supporting the Manufacturing & Supply (OMS) Business Unit. 

 

The Senior Business Technology Analyst role within the Manufacturing Value Team focuses on the Modernization of the Core Applications in our Manufacturing and Supply technology stack, operational across multiple site locations, insuring they are equipped to meet the demands of a rapidly changing technological landscape.

Strong knowledge is required of Manufacturing Execution Systems, Data Historian and digital workflow applications such as PAS-X, Aveva PI & Tulip. As these systems are connected to the company's SAP platform, basic knowledge of SAP Production execution and material handling processes are considered a bonus, but not a must.

 

Priority work will be collaboratively, with cross-functional internal and external teams, supporting the upgrade of windows server 2016 OS for the Core systems, as well as taking the lead in standing up the NextGen PASX 3.4 platform for Organon. The new platform must be configured to be compatible with the current ERP interface design and equipment integration while maximizing the use of standard system functionality and supporting data migration initiatives, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

 

The role will ensure compliance and quality be design, leveraging Organon's digital testing solution and document management system.

 

Responsibilities

  •  Understand the Manufacturing system landscape at Organon and provide guidance on optimizing proper system usage while keeping the Total Cost of Ownership under control.
  • Lead in bridging the efforts from the Windows team, Site Support teams and local SME's ensuring seamless communication and collaboration of the windows server OS upgrade for the core manufacturing applications.

  • Act as the go-to person for both standard system maintenance and core functionality to maximize system usage and capabilities across sites.

  • Play a key role in standing up the NextGen PASX 3.4 platform for Organon. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Working with vendor to understand proposed architecture

    • Working with Organon infrastructure team on an Organon fit-for-purpose architecture

    • Working with site SME’s to align on design for standard business processes

    • Working with validation team to deliver a qualified Organon core system that can be rolled out to the different sites

    • Working with site MBR editors on both the master data and MBR migration activities

    • Working with the SAP and middleware team for setup and testing of the ERP interfaces

  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to develop and implement strategic IT initiatives, working closely with Manufacturing business colleagues to support the execution of complex business strategies.

  • Manage technical operations of IT systems within the Manufacturing & Supply domain, ensuring efficient and effective support.

  • Coordinate with software vendors to optimize the performance of our core applications and contribute to strategic roadmap development.

  • Partner with cross-functional IT teams to enhance IT services within the Quality domain.

  • Support resource management for advanced Life Cycle and Value-driven projects, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with Organon’s SDLC standards and contribute to initiatives enhancing team competencies.

  • Address and prioritize complex business needs from business partners, contributing to ongoing development of the Manufacturing VT roadmap and portfolio.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to support Organon Quality business.

  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to drive improvements within Quality systems solutions.

  • Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Science, Business, or related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
  • 5+ years experience in IT or technical support roles, with strong knowledge of Manufacturing (Shop Floor) Systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulated Manufacturing processes, experience of system configuration and validation requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop IT solutions across business domains.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including Data Integrity and SDLC validation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management and resource coordination.
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills to achieve strategic objectives.
