What are we looking for?

The Release Management team is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to help automate report creation for software release processes supporting our global cybersecurity platform. You'll work with data from multiple engineering teams and enterprise systems to build automated reporting pipelines that provide real-time visibility into release status, deployment progress, and team performance—transforming manual data collection and analysis into automated, actionable insights.

Internship is a part-time, remote paid internship that is for 3-months (20 hours per week) We're looking for an intern to start on December 1, 2025 - February 27, 2026) 

What will you do?

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple enterprise platforms to generate status reports and performance metrics for release coordination
  • Develop automated data processing scripts to aggregate information, calculate key metrics, and track progress across engineering teams
  • Build recurring reports and dashboards tracking release cycles, deployment velocity, and quality metrics
  • Partner with release management stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into automated solutions
  • Create visualizations that communicate complex data insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support ad hoc data requests from release leadership, engineering teams, and business partners
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements through data analysis

 

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related major/degree, with a graduation date in 2026/2027
  • Strong analytical mindset and experience working with datasets to draw actionable insights
  • Programming experience in Python or similar languages for data analysis and automation
  • Proficiency with data manipulation and analysis tools
  • Ability to work with various data formats (CSV, JSON, Excel) and create meaningful reports
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to convey data-driven insights to stakeholders
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical environments
  • Experience with Python data libraries (pandas, numpy) or SQL for data analysis
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Grafana, Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, matplotlib, or plotly)
  • Experience with spreadsheet tools (Google Sheets or Excel) including formulas, pivot tables, and charts
  • Previous internship or coursework involving automated reporting or data pipeline development
  • Exposure to and understanding of AI-powered tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT) and common IDEs (e.g. Windsurf, Visual Studio Code, JetBrains).
  • Exposure to project management tools (Jira, Confluence) or API integrations
