Job Description Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Data Steward to manage and maintain procurement master data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across enterprise systems. The role will support procurement operations by overseeing data related to Materials, suppliers, purchasing information records (PIR), purchase orders (PO), and related procurement processes. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve data issues, and drive continuous improvement in procurement data quality. This is a 24x7 operations team, and candidates must be open to working in rotational shifts.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Create, update, and maintain procurement master data (Material Master, PIR, PO data) in SAP, and Ariba.

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through regular audits, validations, and data cleansing activities.

  • Support procurement operations by managing PR to PO processes.

  • Resolve data issues related to procurement transactions, such as mismatches between POs and invoices, and ensure timely resolution.

  • Collaborate with procurement, sourcing, and IT teams to support data-related projects, system enhancements, and process improvements.

  • Monitor procurement data quality metrics and support root cause analysis for recurring issues.

  • Document procurement data processes, business rules, and standard operating procedures.

  • Provide training and support to end users on procurement data management tools and processes.

  • Participate in testing and validation activities during system upgrades or process changes.

  • Ensure compliance with internal data policies and external regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of procurement data accurately.

  • Hands-on experience with procurement applications such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Jaggaer, and ServiceNow.

  • Understanding procurement processes, including Materials, PR to PO, supplier onboarding, and PIR management.

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel for data analysis and issue tracking.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement master data management or procurement operations.

  • Experience with supplier master data, PIR, PO processes, and procurement data governance.

  • Exposure to transformation or ERP implementation projects is a plus.

  • Candidates must be flexible to work in rotational shifts, as part of a 24x7 operations team.
