Position Summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking a board certified (or equivalent) pediatric ophthalmologist with additional expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of retinopathy of prematurity. This individual will work with our neonatology practices to provide NICU-based screening for patients with ROP, perform procedures as indicated for ROP, and provide follow-up care and treatment for these patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform NICU-based screening for patients with ROP
  • Provide surgical intervention and other therapeutic measures of patients with ROP
  • Provide indicated follow-up care for patients with confirmed or suspected ROP
  • Maintain required documentation related to patients with ROP
  • Provide general pediatric ophthalmology care as required

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Unrestricted WA state medical license
  • Completion of accredited training program in ophthalmology
  • Fellowship training (or equivalent) in pediatric ophthalmology or retinal and vitreous diseases
  • Board certification (or equivalent) in ophthalmology
