Major Duties:

  • You will be responsible for continual planning/coordination/investigation and monitoring of designs and plans for mechanical utility systems, and documentation to ensure technical adequacy of government and contractor conformance to requirements.
  • You will act as the technical expert and government authority in assigned areas providing direction and guidance to others in the branch, department and other organizations (contractor and civilian) within SWFPAC and SSP.
  • You will work closely with outside agencies, contractors, and headquarter personnel to develop requirements and programs for cognizant systems and areas of responsibility.
  • You will provide professional engineering services for Strategic Security hardware by monitoring tests conducted, developing and applying operational criteria and applications based on data collected.
  • You will identify, analyze, and review assigned government and contractor Strategic Security component failures to ensure that cause/effects of the failures are corrected and prevented in the future.
  • You will serve as recognized technical specialist on Strategic Security systems providing technical direction and guidance to others in the branch, division, department, and other organizations at SWFPAC.
  • You will review and evaluate designs, design changes, technical documentation, and operations to ensure technical adequacy of government and contractor Strategic Security.
  • You will perform surveillance engineering and evaluate SSP contractor operations to assess compliance with contractual terms for schedule, cost, and technical performance.
  • You will develop and maintain internal engineering management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with SWFPAC and higher-level directives.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer delivering technical advice, guidance, and direction to diagnose and resolve issues involving warfare systems, subsystems, or related components throughout their full lifecycle, within industrial or depot-level maintenance, or production environments.
