Job Description

The Marketing Specialist role within Axis Oceania Marketing team oversees key initiatives for Oceania, including Channel and Partner Marketing, events, digital marketing, campaigns and training programs.

This challenging role calls for a broad range of capabilities as you will independently manage the portfolios from start to end. While you will need to delegate some details to vendors, you will need to ensure that every detail is executed completely, accurately, on time and within budget.

You will need a dynamic personality and a proven ability to co-ordinate among multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including managing expectations, providing solutions and balancing a collaborative approach with the right measure of assertiveness and diplomacy. In particular, you will work closely with the Oceania team to drive multi-channel, multi-faceted marketing campaigns, lead generation programs, and tactics at the channels and end users community to generate the desired results assign to the sales & marketing objectives.

The Marketing Specialist reports to the Marketing Manager, Oceania and may assist with regional projects and tasks from time to time.


This position requires 20% travel within Oceania and internationally to attend meetings, events, and training sessions.

This role is based in Melbourne, Australia.

What you’ll do here

In addition to the execution of the strategy for the identified countries, you will manage -

PARTNER MARKETING: Channel and Distributors

  • Work with our channel partner organisation to devise a program to help us go to market via distributors and partners.
  • Ensure we have a balance between co-marketing activities with partners and end customers.
  • Ensure our partner communications strategy is tailored to the region using our newsletters, onboarding content, local website content and local content marketing.

DEMAND GENERATION

  • Work with the Marketing Manager, Oceania and APAC Marketing teams to develop and execute relevant segment-specific campaigns in your region
  • Adopt and roll out account-based marketing (ABM)
  • Oversee campaign execution across online (website, social, digital) and offline marketing channels
  • Provide feedback and insights about segments in your region to the APAC Marketing teams to help with their campaign creation planning.
  • Optimize lead generation, follow-up, and nurturing to generate Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
  • Measure the level of lead generation and conversion in key segments.

EVENTS (ONLINE & OFFLINE)

  • Ensure that the Axis brand experience and solution messaging is represented at key industry events and at Axis’ own organic events such as customer conferences.
  • Planning the annual calendar of internal, internal, channel and partner events

PUBLIC RELATIONS (PR)

  • With the PR agency, drive programs that boost our brand profile in key markets
  • Ensure that Axis is featured in key editorial publications relevant to our partner base, end-customer segments, and general business landscape e.g. media releases, press interviews, press conferences to byline articles
  • Drive customer references and case studies from customer buy-in to development, production, and promotion.
  • Manage speaking opportunities at industry events and Axis country events
  • Ensure Axis is included in relevant industry awards programs.
  • Measure the impact of our PR program on our brand impression and business results

AXIS COMMUNICATIONS’ ACADEMY

  • Manage the Academy & Learning Modules for Oceania countries, classroom and virtual based.
  • Market the course curriculum and position the Axis Academy as an aspirational learning platform
  • Work with the relevant Chief trainer in the region to ensure we have a pulse on our training material is received.

Provide insights and feedback on shaping our course roadmap

We are looking for someone

  • With excellent organizational skills, able to handle multiple priorities in different marketing sub-fields
  • who is an effective project leader – able to influence and drive other team members
  • Flexible, open to changes and able and willing to communicate and build rapport with other members in the team to achieve results
  • Confident & enthusiastic, and able to exercise initiative and thrive in an open, transparent work culture with minimal supervision
  • Resilient, open-minded and willing to learn

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

  • Degree in marketing or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a B2B marketing role
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms and marketing software & tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, etc.)
  • Proven copy writing skills
  • Creative and has attention to detail
  • Able to interpret data and make insights-driven decisions.
  • A team player with strong collaboration and communications skills.
