At Western Union, we are searching for a qualified Lead Teller to lead our team with enthusiasm. The Lead Teller will oversee staff, work with Western Union customers, and help grow transactions and revenue. We are looking for an IC who can continuously increase the team’s productivity. The Lead Teller will be responsible for helping with hiring and training staff, as well as leading teams in strategizing how to cultivate branch success. 

Branch Location: Semenyih, Bandar Sunway, Nilai, Shah Alam

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee 4-5 Western Union own branch locations (Semenyih, Bandar Sunway, Nilai, Shah Alam) but subject to work outstation occasionally if need be.
  • Achieve assigned branch targets.
  • Map competitors’ rates and service offerings.
  • Help hire and train employees. 
  • Manage the branch’s budget. 
  • Actively promote new products and initiatives. 
  • Accountable for managing Duty Roaster in timely manner, 
  • Provide excellent service for Western Union customers. 
  • Allocate branch resources as per staff and client needs. 
  • Liaise between the branch and head office and be the bridge between management and FLA’s.
  • Manage reports for the branches. (E.g. Finance report, WUpos report) 
  • Solve problems for branch customers and staff by reaching out to relevant departments who can help solve the problems. 
  • Employee engagement team building activities. 
  • Well versed with company policies.

Role Requirements

  • 5 yrs of customer service & business development experience (preferably in financial services or retail)
  • An affinity for problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility in work schedule.
  • Fluency in English – additional languages are a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Highly organized with time and team management.
