Job Summary:

A Product Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and timely delivery of multiple projects related to their assigned product(s). Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Creates a detailed business analysis, outlining problem, opportunities and solution. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Tests and documents those programs. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of programming activities within the product line. Comfortable working with senior leadership and providing analytical background for business problems.

Job Description:

Project Participation/Completion

  • Participates in projects as assigned by Director.  Works independently to complete work within established timelines.  Assists in developing project tasks and works closely with programmer or project manager to resolve issues, remove barriers and avoid delays and surprises.  Establishes and manages change control procedures for the product(s) supported. Prioritizes and implements changes requested for the system.

Product Design

  • Analyzes business processes and designs new product developments and enhancements.  Proposes improvements to existing functionality and works to fully understand and implement new functionality available in software releases.  Works with Director to develop and maintain product roadmap.

Product Knowledge: 

  • Serves as a senior subject matter expert on content, processes, and procedures associated with the product.  Maintains in-depth knowledge of the product throughout the system’s lifecycle.  Maintains in-depth knowledge and expertise in the technical tools used to support the system. Documents and leads resolution for data quality issues. Participates and documents Data definition thru various project lifecycle.

Customer Service: 

  • Manages the business relationship with the customer, coordinating all questions and issues that arise for the products they support.  Ensures that support requests are resolved in a timely fashion and achieves high scores on customer feedback.  Coordinates updates and changes with users.  Participates in providing support coverage for system users. Coverage includes troubleshooting issues, answering questions from users, and resolving system issues, thus promoting and maintaining optimal usage of the system.

Mentoring:

  • Mentors less experienced team members in system support, administration methods, processes, and implementation of those methods.

Performs other duties as assigned: 

  • Keeps the Director informed of issues requiring attention and problems likely to result in missed deadlines or user impact.  Provides assistance and guidance to the Director as needed and requested.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree requirement can be waived if the candidate has four or more years’ experience supporting an applicable application.

Specialized Knowledge: 

  • Extensive knowledge of Information Systems, vendor’s software tools and business processes.
  • Excellent collaboration and oral and written communication skills.

Kind and Length of Experience: 

  • Four or more years of related information systems experience.
