Job Summary: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Major Duties:

  • Serves as the installation inventory subject matter expert for Army Audit Readiness.
  • Provide expert planning and advice on a broad range of inventory issues.
  • Prioritize and coordinate Army Audit Readiness related work efforts.
  • Ensure procedures are implemented and followed to ensure proper inventory accountability and traceability.
  • Research and analyze the organizational logistical systems, processes, and operating instructions to identify problem areas or opportunities of improvement.
  • Evaluate audit readiness program operations to meet program milestones and goals.
  • Prepare executive level briefings for updates on major program milestones, accomplishments and issues.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: (1) Utilizing analytical techniques to assess the productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of inventory; (2) Applying knowledge of specialized supply inventory methods and techniques which may include acquisition processes, automated records and control systems, material substitution criteria, and storage, issue, and disposal processes; and (3) Monitoring the status and effectiveness of material support by identifying, analyzing, and/or resolving inventory problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level position in the federal service (GS-11).
