Responsibilities:

As an Associate in the Data Engineering team at PwC, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and cloud technologies like Azure and Databricks. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to design and implement data warehouse and data lake solutions that power analytics and business intelligence for global clients. Roles & Responsibilities: · Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Databricks. · Support data ingestion from multiple structured and unstructured data sources. · Participate in data lake and data warehouse design and implementation on Azure or other cloud platforms. · Conduct data validation, profiling, and quality checks to ensure data reliability. · Assist in optimizing data pipelines for performance and scalability. · Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and architects in project delivery. · Document processes, code, and data flow diagrams. Skills Required: · Hands-on experience with PySpark, SQL, and Python. · Understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Lake concepts. · Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse or other ETL tools on cloud · Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data modelling, and data quality techniques. · Basic knowledge of cloud computing (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP good to have). · Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. · 1–3 years of relevant experience.
