Job Description:

The HR Business Partner role provides strategic and tactical HR support to functions within Datasite. This role will be a part of a fun, passionate and dynamic global HR and business team. The role is both a strategic and hands on role including improving organizational effectiveness & design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching and driving HR functional excellence. We are seeking an experienced HR business partner who can effectively interact with business leaders at all levels, possesses excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and works effectively across multiple locations.

The role is primarily based on-site in our Heredia office, with some flexibility for periodic remote work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Costa Rica Site Leader, senior management, and the HR team to develop and implement HR plans and solutions.

  • Understand and implement measures to improve upon the strong Datasite culture in the Costa Rica location.

  • Field employee relations inquiries, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner and escalate critical matters in a timely fashion to the appropriate resource.

  • Create and implement performance plans, employee relations initiatives, or investigations to ensure a positive and fair work environment, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and ensuring risk mitigation.

  • Manage and accurately process team member and organization updates in our HRIS system to capture new hires, terminations, job changes, pay changes, incentive/bonuses, leaves, and absences administration.

  • Provide coaching to all levels of management.

  • Assess HR training needs and conduct training sessions as appropriate.

  • Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience to recommend systemic improvements.

  • Partner with the HR and Costa Rican leadership to execute processes which focus on performance management and talent development.

  • Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, and evaluation of promotions.

  • Work with functional areas to assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement drivers.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, business, finance or related field required.

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a combination of the following: human resources, employee relations, organization design/development, talent acquisition, total rewards, or performance management.

  • Experience working in Financial Technology, or similar industry for a global or multinational organization.

  • Strong understanding of Costa Rican labor law with the ability to educate managers.

  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment.

  • Proven ability to diagnose issues and drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions in order to integrate HR and business strategies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Costa Rican employment laws, HR policies, regulations and trends within the region.

  • Experience in Workday HCM preferred.
