Global Prevenar Pediatric Commercial Director

ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting into the Global Prevenar Pediatrics Lead, the Global Prevenar Pediatric Commercial Director will be a core member of the global cross-functional team.  This role will be responsible for the lifecycle planning of the PCV franchise and competitive strategy.  The director will also be responsible for developing the mid to long term franchise strategy - including PG4 launch planning (pending DP3) – to support the PCV pediatric portfolio’s potential Global peak revenues of $4B.

This role will be committed to how we shape and develop strategies across our data. The role will require the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and requires the ability to identify and understand clinical data and competitor trends in the market.  The role will develop insights and create a compelling strategy utilizing both the breadth and depth of our data/RWE and how best to create a commercial narrative.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Life Cycle

  • Represent and establish a strong Global commercial presence on PCV program teams
  • CSI liaison for PCV pipeline (PG4/PG5) planning including support of PG4 DP3 assessment (forecast assumptions, target product profile, etc)
  • Strategy and planning for launch of PG4 post DP3

Competitive strategy

  • Relentless focus on competition and competitor data
  • Align with XFT and Regional Commercial/US Teams on competitive insights so that we are staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Strategic implications and scenario planning in response to competition/ frequent war-gaming/differentiation planning across competitors including all elements of GTM/launch strategy
  • Competitive congress monitoring

RWE needs/planning

  • Serve as the key strategic commercial point of contact for Global medical on RWE needs and planning
  • Have a thorough understanding of our data and identify data gaps and opportunities in close partnership with Regional/US commercial teams to improve value proposition and recommendations

Development of Franchise strategy

  • Responsible for mid-to-long-term strategy to maximize growth for the PCV franchise
  • Deliver a holistic strategy to maximize PCV20 value and set the foundation for next generation of PCVs
  • Monitor the clinical data read outs to identify themes to support strategy development
  • Partner with adult PCV team on overall PCV franchise considerations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing or commercial within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to distill data and insights to develop strategy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Diverse leadership experience including in-market and above country/regional/global scope
  • Able to form excellent relationships with key global and local cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead by influence to effectively develop and implement strategies
  • Strong work ethic and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines.
  • Entrepreneurial and motivated to challenge the status quo.
  • Innovative in identifying new opportunities and finding new ways to create value.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Global marketing experience
  • Vaccines experience; PCV experience a plus
  • Prior launch experience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
