About the Program

Step into the world of global banking! Our Future Talent Internship Program offers structured, hands-on experience in Corporate Banking, with opportunities to work in Relationship Management (RM) and Support Team functions. You will gain exposure to client servicing, credit analysis, operational support, and process improvement, while learning how we deliver strategic financial solutions to multinational corporations.

What You’ll Do

As an intern in our Corporate Banking team, you will gain exposure to both Relationship Management (RM) and Support functions, contributing to client servicing, credit analysis, and operational excellence. Your responsibilities may include:

Relationship Management (RM) Support

  • Assist in relationship management with designated clients to address banking needs, including preparing joint proposals with Product Offices.

  • Support credit-related tasks, including Annual Credit Reviews (ACR), covenant checks, and ad-hoc requests.

  • Conduct credit analysis and review financial statements to assess client creditworthiness.

  • Research market trends and provide insights for client strategies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services such as loans, deposits, trade finance, and global market products.

Support Team Responsibilities

  • Provide transactional support to RMs, including credit control instructions, new client onboarding, call-back procedures, loan drawdowns, and deposit placements.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as business trip and entertainment applications, logistics arrangements, and seminar preparation.

  • Support budget control, manage departmental expenses, and maintain accurate asset control records.

  • Monitor loan/deposit due dates and credit facility deadlines to ensure timely follow-up.

  • Provide translation support for correspondence with the Primary Office when necessary.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a recognized higher learning institution in Malaysia, pursuing a degree in Banking, Finance, Information Technology, Accounting, or Business Administration, where internship is a mandatory component for course completion. Candidates must be in their final year of study.

  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0 and above, or the equivalent

  • Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing January 2026.

  • Proficient in English (spoken and written). Japanese would be an advantage.

Note:

  • Interns will receive an allowance of RM1,500 per month.

  • Please note that due to high volume of applications we receive, we will only contact the shortlisted candidates.
