ENTOMOLOGY INTERN
- Assist in maintaining laboratory reared insect colonies, ensuring healthy and quality insects.
- Participate in testing and evaluation of pest control products to ensure generation of reliable data that complies with testing guidelines and protocols.
- Support / prepare the laboratory documentation process, including observation, test protocol development, recording testing data, results, and reports.
- Help maintain entomology inventory and manage consumable materials for rearing, testing and evaluation.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized laboratory workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Entomology, Biology, Zoology, Public Health or a related field.
- Fluent in English
- Ability and willingness to work partial shifts on weekends and holidays.
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- Familiarity with / Strong interest in learning insect biology and testing methods.
- Experience with insect rearing activities and pest management is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to details and ability to follow protocols.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
