About the Team:
Data center network engineering team is dynamic architecture and engineering team that is accountable for project delivery, changes. Providing centralized and standardized Network services in a consistent, cost-effective, high available manner to internal FIS teams as well as managed external customers
What you will be doing:
- Performs device configurations, OS upgrades and deploys network devices including routers, switches, load balancers, ACI
- Follows documented network services processes and procedures – identifies gaps in processes or documentation and suggests improvements.
- Monitors, responds and provides resolution for all network projects and incident on call support.
- New build, migration, replacement in the network to accommodate the project requirement.
- Troubleshoots network problems and recommends corrective procedures; assists with troubleshooting circuit equipment and all other network issues.
- Identifies opportunities to improve workflow and creates supporting documentation for review by peers and management.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering – large Data Center / Routing Switching environment / Load balance/ACI/Automation
- Knowledge of Cisco multiple technologies
- Ability to document in MS Visio and proficient in MS Office.
- Ability to independently analyze, configure and troubleshoot network connectivity.
- Clear understanding of network security and the implications of not adhering to FIS security architecture mandates.
What you bring:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering – large Data Center / Routing Switching environment / Load balance/ACI/Automation
- CCNP/CCIE & DC Experience required
- ACI - Switch installation and configuration, Multiped, Multisite, ACI greenfield deployment, L2 & L3 fabric, L2 & L3 out, EPG, bridge domain, UCS knowledge is a plus.
- ACI – Fabric, Access Policies, VMM, Tenant policies, Analyze packet flow (Unicast, multicast & broadcast)
- Virtualization – Knowledge of VMware vCenter, VDC, VRF Standard, VXLAN EVPN Tenant
- Nexus Dashboard understands and configuration knowledge.
- Automation - Git, Visio studio, Python, Ansible, JSON skills.
- Routing protocols - OSPFV2, OSPF V3, BGP, MP-BGP, PIM Multicast, FHRP (HSRP, VRRP)
- Switching - Trunks, Vlan tags, RSTP+, LACP, vPC, , FEXes
- Hardware & OS Expertise – Cisco Catalyst Series, Nexus 5K, 7K, 9K (IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS)
- Tools – Netflow, WireShark, Service now, IPAM & Kibana (can be plus/advantage)
- F5 & NetScaler’s Load Balancers
- Multivendor knowledge Cisco, Juniper Dell is a plus
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a time sensitive environment.
- Capable of multi-tasking and self-direction to meet goals.
- Flexible to work in continuous night shift or weekends as business demands.
- Good communication skills.
