The Consultant Relations Specialist handles a variety of development functions including relationship, partnership and territory development within the broker and consultant market. Works in conjunction with the Managing Director, Consultant Relations to help maximize the new sales and retention results within the assigned territory. Focuses on generating sales opportunities with brokers and consultants, as well as, business partners. Responds to, manages and sees through closure client issues, if engaged.

Job Summary:

Works in conjunction with the Managing Director, Consultant Relations to help maximize the new sales and retention results within the assigned territory.  Focuses on generating sales opportunities with brokers and consultants, as well as, business partners.  Responds to, manages and sees through closure client issues, if engaged.

What you will do

  • Responsible for supporting the driving of revenue, balance and account growth within assigned territory.

  • Helps to create and deepen relationships with internal and external business partners within the territory.

  • Schedules meetings and appointments as needed with the assigned consultant community.

  • Interacts with brokers and consultants via email, telephone, and on-line meetings/events.

  • Travels to and attends meetings/industry events as required.


Skills and Abilities

  • Requires understanding of health care benefit products and services.

  • Salesforce knowledge preferred.

  • Proven ability to prioritize work and requests.

  • High level of detail.

  • Strong Customer Service skills.

  • Must have experience with interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization.


Education Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • 3-4 years years of Client Facing/Customer Service required

  • Benefit consultant experience preferred

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000USD to $78,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
