Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Academic Advisor I – Boca Raton, FL.
The Academic Advisor I, for the College of Science Student Advising Services Office will guide pre-health freshmen and sophomores through academic planning, orientation, and career preparation for health professions. This position will promote student success and timely progress toward graduation.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and advising services to pre-health freshmen and sophomores.
Provide assistance to freshmen and sophomore students in the beginning of their acceptance to FAU in planning for the Health Professions field and career.
Coordinate the orientation and advising for freshmen and sophomore pre-health professional students and working collaboratively with other academic services within the university.
Evaluate student records and record management.
Perform advising functions within the Student Services Office.
Assist with student registration, retention, and progress toward graduation.
Assist with other student services duties as assigned.
