Research Scholar
Join the NewYork-Presbyterian, Columbia University and Weill Cornell Heart Failure Research Institute team as a Research Scholar. Launched in 2024, the Heart Failure Research Institute is advancing the understanding, prevention and treatment of heart failure. Partner with heart failure faculty to conduct research in heart failure. Lead large scale prospective data collection efforts related to our Artificial Intelligence initiative. Analyze and interpret research data and present findings. Together we will work on improving the quality of life for people with heart failure.
Responsibilities of a research scholar include:
Conduct research in heart failure with oversight from a clinical mentor
Stays up to date with advancements in heart failure research, incorporating relevant findings into ongoing projects
Participates in sharing research through publications, presentations and other methods
Attends weekly heart failure education sessions and clinical meetings
Attends clinical conferences as appropriate
Preferred Criteria
Interest in the field of heart failure
Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
