A Brief Overview
The Workers Compensation Analyst serves as the liaison between the business and the third-party administrators (TPAs) and is responsible for reviewing all workers' compensation claims and will maintain internal communication with various departments to ensure a positive and smooth experience for associates. This position plays an important role in contributing to the overall associate experience through the workers' compensation progress and risk reduction. .
What you will do
Coordinate the return-to-work process with all stakeholders, ensuring the associate returns as quickly and safely as possible
Review all incident reports, ensure appropriate TPA adjuster is assigned
Communicate with associate via phone and email within designated time frame
Obtain associate’s medical work status every 30 days, maintain tasks and notes for tracking
Complete wage statements and provide wage documentation to the TPA
Provide support to all stakeholders throughout the life of the claim, answering all questions within designated time frame
Assist with discovery for litigated claims
Make recommendations to department manager regarding claim strategy
Identify and discuss claim trends with the Safety department and collaborate on ideas for improvement
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards
What you will need
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
1-3 years experience in worker’s compensation claims in multiple jurisdictions required
Health & Safety knowledge or desire to learn the specifics
Empathy for situations and desire to care for associates and their outcomes Strong communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and remain agile
