Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a highly qualified leader to manage its Tactical Aircraft (TACAIR) and AEW Portfolios based in Lexington Park, MD. This strategic role is responsible for delivering and expanding weapon systems research, development, operations, sustainment and sustainment services to meet the evolving needs of the Department of War and other Federal Agencies. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in multiple aspects of weapon system life cycle support, driving innovation and operational excellence to support current and future mission requirements. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact team and shape the future of KBR’s weapon system life cycle support capabilities, ensuring the delivery of advanced systems and services to DoD and other agency programs to ultimately deliver superior capability to the warfighter, War Department and other agencies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day awarded contract(s) and task order customer tasking, assigned personnel, and annual budgets for the assigned Operating Unit portfolio.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership within Operations and Business Development to connect offerings to customers to company services and solutions offerings in support of year-over-year double digit revenue growth.
  • Develop competitive proposal solutions that support the company's broad breadth and depth of weapon system life cycle support.
  • Anticipate future requirements requiring various investments to foster development and growth of Business Unit, Division, and Operating Unit portfolio initiatives.
  • Lead teams of engineers, program analysts, logisticians and others providing customer support and services to the warfighter.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with team members, senior leadership, and clients.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex strategies and technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate proposals and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical ability to assess and develop innovative weapon system life cycle support solutions and strategies.
  • Ability and drive to aggressively seek portfolio growth.
  • Responsible for supervision, direction, and development of first and second level supervisors/managers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret (minimum) clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of weapons system support/ experience, including 4+ years of weapons system acquisition life cycle support experience.
  • 4+ years Acquisition Program Management support at IPT lead/department head lead level or above.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, development, or deployment of Department of War weapons systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 years F/A-18 and/or E-2 weapon system life cycle support experience.
  • Previous experience in supporting proposal development for weapon system life cycle systems support for DoD or Federal Agencies.
  • Research and development or deployment/employment of DoW weapons systems in support of the warfighter.

Work Location: Lexington Park, MD or remote.

Compensation:

$161,600 - $242,300. The salary range posted is based on the national average.  The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
