Ready for a people leadership position? We have an opportunity at Wellington Airport for a Wash Bay Supervisor to groom our team of Vehicle Service Agents and ensure we are delivering a superior service to our customers.
About the Role
As Wash Bay Supervisor, you will be required to lead by example a team of car cleaners to provide our customers with vehicles that are safe, mechanically sound and clean. You will also maximise profit by meeting fleet requirements and reporting vehicle damage. You will also be responsible for ensuring all assigned paperwork, documents and reports are completed accurately as well as conducting vehicle preparation evaluations regularly.
Further to the above you will coordinate the daily activities of the team and where needed, train, coach and direct the team in their duties. Noncompliance with established policies and procedures must be reported to management. You will also assist with preparing shift schedules and reports.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Previous managerial and/or leadership experience with proven experience in coaching and developing team members, delivering feedback, and managing performance of team members (highly advantageous but not essential).
Work experience in a similar role within the car rental industry being highly beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, problem solve and show initiative.
Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution and negotiation.
Possesses competent planning and organisation skills and can multitask.
Ability to competently use Microsoft office suite and learn new systems and software quickly and efficiently.
Based at the Wellington Airport, our Washbay operates 7 days a week from 07.00 to 20.30 where you will be rostered to work 40-hours per week on 5 x 8-hour shifts that could include mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
