Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$196,200.00 - $316,300.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Responsible for all assigned Strategic Business Unit financial reporting and accounting activities. Directs the accounting, financial reporting, information analysis, expense monitoring, control and planning/forecasting functions to assist assigned SBU achieve its financial goals. Develops and implements financial and accounting controls and ensures compliance with prescribed company (internal) and regulatory (external) standards.

What Will You Do?

  • Direct the development and implementation of cost-effective financial reporting and accounting activities for assigned business.
  • Formulate effective financial oversight and internal accounting standards which comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the achievement of business objectives through the accurate and timely identification and resolution of accounting issues/opportunities.
  • Oversee the monthly reporting process and deliver accurate/timely monthly reports through effective utilization of all management information tools to optimize revenue and minimize financial exposure.
  • Manage and direct the expense process. In this capacity, monitors financial transactions to ensure that assigned LOB expenses are in line with LOB's expense and profit objectives and are consistent with company policies.
  • Respond to all activities related to Corporate accounting/reporting requirements and ensure GAAP and STAT standard are met.
  • Manage the financial planning and forecasting process. Provide high level analysis and recommendations for corrective action as necessary.
  • Prepare controllable reports for assigned LOB.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the financial/accounting and LOB communities.
  • Direct and/or participate in high level projects having a financial impact on LOB and/or company results.
  • Effectively mentor and coach staff, perform all necessary staff management functions and support profit, growth and expense management goals.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Typically has a Bachelor's degree with a business administration, finance, or accounting concentration, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Advanced degree of professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, CMA, CFU, CPCU, MBIS) preferred.
  • Financial reporting experience.
  • Financial planning experience.

What is a Must Have?

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership/management experience required.
