VP, Digital and Programmatic

Job Description:

The VP will lead a portfolio of key client relationships, ensuring exceptional campaign execution and performance. They will independently manage multiple teams, acting as the primary business lead and driving the overall strategy for each client engagement. The VP will ensure high-quality work through strategic oversight, while balancing best practices, a focus on digital innovation, and operational efficiency.

The VP will deliver thought leadership to enhance dentsu's reputation as a digital leader and will implement training initiatives to drive a culture of continuous improvement.

As a key member of the leadership team, the VP will collaborate with senior management to effectively manage resources across selected clients. The role includes assisting with driving organic growth by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities and assisting management with future-proofing the dentsu business by providing feedback on market trends, needs, product development, or other opportunities.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Oversee client relationships, campaign execution, and independently manage/lead multiple teams
  • Deliver forward-thinking digital and programmatic strategies proactively to the portfolio and ensure cross-channel collaboration and consistency with teams such as search, social & commerce.
  • Drive strategy for client engagements and provide oversight to ensure high-quality work
  • Collaborate with senior management to manage resources effectively
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for organic growth
  • Engage with clients and Client Center leadership to assess account health and set strategic goals for improvement and growth
  • Ensure adherence to client contracts/SOWs, develop staffing plans, and prioritize profitability
  • Create growth plans for the client roster through innovation and relationship building
  • Foster awareness/education about dentsu tools and products among the broader team
  • Ensure the team follows defined processes for campaign management and enforce risk-mitigation controls for hands-on-keys activation work
  • Participate in panels, fireside chats, and other public speaking opportunities
  • Routinely contribute to new business pitches
  • Develop a reputation as a consultative leader internally & externally
  • Drive culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 12+ years' experience within the programmatic and digital industry
  • Experienced leader with proven history of leading highly successful teams
  • Strong experience across all digital media channels and ability to eloquently speak to each
  • History of developing positive, ongoing client relationships, with strong focus on client service
  • Experience in managing complexity across multiple groups, clients, and interagency partners
  • Demonstrated ability to see “the story” or “the big picture” to drive organizational and client success
  • Consistent, exceptional project management with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Persuasive verbal and written communications, excellent presentation and analytical skills
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Exude professionalism in all situations
  • Solutions orientated with strong critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills
  • Proficient in programmatic technology, platform, and partner solutions, including but not limited to, DSPs, ad servers, ad verification platforms, planning/financial platforms, DMPs, analytics & reporting dashboards, etc.
  • Strong experience working with business applications; MS Office Suite required

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000 -$182,850. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
