PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $226,000 - $306,800 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS

As the Vice President of Credit Card & Lending Support at BECU, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming member experiences across our credit card, consumer loan, and business loan portfolios. Leading a team of subject matter experts, you will drive operational excellence, ensuring that every interaction with our lending products is seamless, compliant, and member-focused. You’ll champion innovation and continuous improvement, collaborating across teams and with key vendors to elevate our services. Your vision and hands-on guidance will directly shape the future of lending at BECU, making a lasting impact on our members and our mission.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead Program Management Teams: Guide and empower a team of experts managing credit card, consumer loan, and business loan portfolios.
Oversee Vendor Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality service for our members.
Optimize Business Processes: Continuously refine operations to enhance service delivery and vendor performance.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to federal and state regulations, collaborating across departments to uphold standards.
Drive PCI Compliance: Partner with cybersecurity to implement and sustain BECU’s PCI DSS compliance program.
Shape Strategic Direction: Collaborate with portfolio leaders to define and execute strategic goals for lending products.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Initiatives: Align program management efforts with teams like Retail, Contact Center, Fraud Operations, and Card Services.
Elevate Operational Excellence: Lead the program management team in optimizing planning resources, tools, and processes.
Develop Talent: Mentor and coach your team, fostering growth through regular feedback and performance evaluations.
Contribute Beyond the Role: Take on additional responsibilities that support BECU’s broader mission and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration or related field.
Typically 10 years of people leader experience leading high impact, cross-functional project teams in financial services organizations. Typically 10 years of experience in operations management, project management, technology implementation, or relevant industry vendors (e.g., a credit card processor, credit card network).
Excellent planning and budgeting skills, both in short and long-term planning.
Effective leadership and negotiation skills.
This job is remote or hybrid but requires you to reside in one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, California, North Carolina or Virginia. Travel to WA Headquarters up to once a quarter.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of credit card processing, networks, and rewards platforms.
Excellent planning and budgeting skills, both in short and long-term planning.
Effective leadership and negotiation skills. Knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) and experience implementing a PCI program.
Familiarity with BECU member-facing systems and processes (e.g., QuickAssist, Pega Gateway, InfoPoint).
Advanced certification in operational excellence disciplines (such as SixSigma, Lean).
