About The Role 

Our Visual Merchandising and Space Planning team is looking to add a dynamic assistant to their team. This role will play an important part in maintaining the brands visual standards through monthly collection launches, showroom displays and vignettes, re-merchandising and renovations. Schumacher has 20+ showrooms throughout the United States and Europe, this position will work closely with each of them. 

YOU WILL: 

  • Manage furniture and accessories inventory for 20+ showrooms. 
  • Organize all furniture and accessory re-orders monthly. 
  • Keep a log of updated showroom pictures and plans with each display change. 
  • Maintain showroom hospitality bar specifications and accounts with vendors. 
  • Coordinate assembly and communication of monthly launch package with Visual Merchandising Manager  
  • Update product placement files monthly with new collections launches, specifying where each fabric and wallpaper is to be hung within showroom 
  • Assist with maintaining the teams sample library, adding monthly launches to category bins. 
  • Make, print and ship all showroom furniture and pillow tags. 
  • Manage production, orders and shipments of special collateral for new collections: stickers, branded memo tickets, category signage etc. 
  • Work with Art Department on monthly showroom posters, window vinyl’s, tabletop signage and special sampling projects as needed. 
  • Update Visual Merchandising style guide handbook and communicate updates with sales team. 
  • Participate in new and existing showroom on-site remerchandising projects, including organizing materials and supplies in advance of trip. 
  • Travel required for re-merchandising trips, including travel for up to 1.5 weeks for new locations. 
  • Assist in office renovations and maintenance helping with orders, repairs, and installs to maintain visual standard. 

YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player. 
  • A self-starter who can multi-task and thrives in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Can take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision. 
  • A passion for beauty, style and all things design. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel. 
  • Basic knowledge of InDesign, and AutoCAD is a plus. 
  • A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Merchandising, or Art History is preferred but not required
