Job Description
Position Summary: 
The Visual Designer, reporting to the Manager, Visual and Production Design, will help to ensure continuity and design integrity of the user interface, branding, visual appearance and creative execution of global marketing materials such as ecommerce web pages, emails, digital display advertising, mobile design, catalogs, and brochures. The Visual Designer will employ established design systems and work within our creative processes to create compelling customer experiences across digital properties including fishersci.com. The Visual Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, to meet creative expectations as well as ensure adherence to timelines.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA office
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative concepts for cross-departmental projects
 - Creative design of materials for use in digital marketing activities, including advertising, landing pages, marketing websites, emails, print templates, and brand standards
 - Assist in the production of all graphic assets for a set group of clients within the organization
 - Maintain high creative and production standards, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick timelines
 - Work closely with a cross functional team of Content Strategists, Information Architects, Writers, Developers, Project and Product Managers, User Researchers, Branding Designers, Photographers and Creative Directors
 - Learn our brand and pattern guidelines that establish usability standards to ensure consistently high results
 
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience 
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience with emphasis on design (instead of research or usability evaluations)
 - A minimum of 3+ years in a user-focused and creative environment within a corporation or agency setting
 - An online portfolio that clearly demonstrates a solid understanding of human centered design standards as well as a strong grasp of the traditional graphic design principles.
 - Demonstrate proficient skills with software such as the Adobe CC, Sketch, XD, etc. as well as the standard Microsoft applications
 - Collaboration with UX researchers, marketers, merchandisers, product and project managers, and front-end developers
 - Understanding of the printing process
 
Knowledge
- Solid knowledge of CX design principles, visual trends and emerging web technologies, current UI and UX mobile design patterns, and web usability practices
 - Working with approved wireframes, iterate design options into tangible and compelling experiences
 - Possess a solid understanding of digital marketing standards, creative art direction, web design, and essential graphic design theory
 - Ability to quickly learn, use and/or troubleshoot other tools like InVision, Slack, Litmus and Browserstack
 - Working knowledge with project management tools like Workfront, Jira and Confluence
 - Familiarity with basic front-end web development, (XHTML, CSS, and JS) and a clear understanding of what is and isn’t possible online
