HP’s Printing business is an over $16 billion business engineering ink and laser-based solutions that provide a faster, more affordable, exciting way to print, manage, and realize content.
This role reports to the Print Supplies Division President within the Printing segment and is responsible for driving current and future strategy and planning for the Toner Supplies and Solutions (TSS) organization. Role drives necessary innovation in the overall Toner product and solutions portfolio to drive the customer preference and deliver on the value proposition. The successful candidate will own the key performance metrics for their overall Toner Supplies business, set the long-term strategy while overseeing short-term objectives and support the objectives of the larger Office Print business at HP. This role is responsible for the WW Toner business end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
Manage revenue responsibilities of approximately ~ $5 billion
Manage people responsibilities of approximately ~50 employees
Define the global strategy/structure for Toner Supplies & Solutions, drive long-term business vision as well as operational excellence
Responsible for achieving/exceeding financial and strategic business goals
Develop and execute value creation and cost reduction plans to improve business profitability
Make strategic choices regarding technology roadmap, research and development activities and set the long-term pricing strategy for the business.
Deliver a strategy which shows impactful results on the Global P&L by quarter with a clear understanding of total P&L; able to show HP shareholders a compelling return on investment
Collaborate with the go-to-market functions across the 7 geographic markets
Partner with Canon on all supplies related strategies and product/program development and execution
Build strong relationships with internal customers, as well as external partners, to execute the current strategic plan for TSS.
Build partnerships across the Print Organization and HP Functions (such as Marketing, Commercial Organization, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations), to align the TSS strategy with new and exciting opportunities; partners heavily with both Marketing and Sales when launching new products and or services
Education
BA/BS Required, preferably with background in Marketing, Business, Economics, or Related Field
MBA preferred
Experience
Strong track record in delivering against a Global P&L
Success in improving operational framework and processes so that the organization is more efficient
Extensive business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains
A solid go-to-market/commercial foundation, in conjunction with significant experience in general management and operations
Proven ability to navigate a complex organization, within a highly matrixed and global company
Superior problem-solving, and the ability to approach situations with both an intellectual and a pragmatic frame of mind. Analyze and summarize complex problems and opportunities into a simple, clear action plan.
Strategic leadership as reflected by a history of identifying key trends, working with management to take market initiative, excellent business judgment, and a track record of making impactful business decisions. The ability to envision and think strategically and share a vision, while paying attention to the details of running the business
Strong organizational leadership: the ability to drive results while remaining focused on the needs of the team. Drive innovative thinking and collaboration across a large, diverse team
Advanced communication proficiency catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g., written, verbal, presentation). Majority of time is spent with Senior Management or C-Suite level audience
Extensive experience in relationship building, including partnering and consulting with senior management and executive roles for internal and external partner
Knowledge/Skills
Strong business, and product management skills, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills
Agile and solutions-focused whilst implementing robust business processes to ensure better planning, alignment and management of resources and decisions
Ability to align features forecast with product offer and strategy, Management of Product Transitions
Exceptionally strong interpersonal, listening and influencing skills.
Demonstrates HP Leadership Values (Start with the Customer, Develop the Team, Own the Outcome) and adheres to the HP Way
The pay range for this role is $266,000 - $300,000 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
