About the Role & Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a Production Support Engineer to join our team responsible for the business (principally Business Lending). You will be working very closely with a dynamic, fluid and demanding business teams responsible for NAB’s 24x7 online trading capabilities.
  • The candidate should have a passion for customer service and problem solving. The job will require a level of flexibility as you will be required to participate in activities outside of standard business hours. The candidate should ideally have experience supporting critical applications in production and some familiarity with ITIL Service Management processes. 

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Fulfil service requests, participate in incident resolution and problem solving.
  • Monitor systems and respond to alerts, while helping build our monitoring and alerting capability.
  • Implementation and deployment of IT projects and solutions.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          
  • Liaise with other Bank technology teams and vendors responsible for services used by Lending assets
  • Develop operating and system documentation.
  • Work in a dynamic and continuously changing environment

Essential capabilities:

• Relevant work experience in an environment using the ITIL framework with specific experience in service management processes - Incident, Problem and Change Management.

• Ability to communicate and work constructively with central enterprise teams and vendors.

• Strong technical problem-solving skills and process – ability to analyze, lead and resolve issues to completion.

• Ability to organize workload from various streams and be able to meet strict deadlines.

• Contribute to a team environment, be able to look for opportunities/ improvements with process improvements/ use of automation.

Technical capabilities:

• Experience using SQL databases. Able to run SQL extracts / script updates provided by vendor or peers and use SQL when required for analysis, incident investigation and resolution.

• Experience working in Windows Server environments

  • Familiarity with batch scripting in a windows environment, to provide a basic level of support for existing batches.

It would be highly regarded if they worked with the below applications:

  • Cloud platforms (AWS/ Azure)
  • Splunk
  • Control-M
  • Jenkins
  • GitHub
  • MS Business Intelligence Suite (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SQL/T-SQL)
  • 10 + years of expertise Windows, SQL, Python, Unix, ITIL framework, PowerBI, GitHub, Jenkins, Splunk & AppDynamics.
  • Must have working experience with Rally, Skill Metrix, Application Support Metrix, BCP, Service management.
  • Expert managing support for on-Prem & Cloud (AWS & Azure) servers.
  • Security and Vulnerability management.
  • Data analytics (Gathering, Transformation, Visualization, Analysis & Insights

Qualification Requirements

  • Preference to post graduate qualifications, ITIL certified.
