Job Summary
The VP of Digital Commerce is an executive technology leader responsible for the architecture, operations, and delivery of the enterprise’s digital commerce and marketing technology platforms. This role oversees the end-to-end health, performance, reliability, and evolution of systems including Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, AEP, Target, Analytics, AJO, Campaign), commerce engines, APIs, data pipelines, and customer engagement platforms. Core Responsibilities
Serve as the executive owner of the Digital Commerce and Adobe Experience Cloud platforms, accountable for uptime, performance, SLAs, and scalability.
Lead enterprise architecture for digital experience, including API-first design, headless services, event-driven integrations, identity, and data flows.
Oversee global multi-disciplinary platform delivery teams spanning AEM engineers, Martech engineers, full-stack developers, QA, SRE, DevOps, and data engineering.
Implement modern SDLC practices—CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code, observability, performance monitoring, and zero-downtime deployments.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices for Adobe technologies, including AEM development patterns, AEP schema design, and Target personalizations at scale.
Ensure platform resilience, redundancy, and performance tuning across hosting layers (cloud-managed AEM, Adobe-hosted AEP/RTCDP, APIs, CDNs).
Oversee operational readiness—deployment gates, post-release validation, telemetry, instrumentation, and incident management.
Create transparency with executive stakeholders around timelines, trade-offs, risks, and platform investment needs.
Optimize vendor relationships and Adobe product utilization to reduce cost and increase performance.
Build and scale high-performing engineering, delivery, and platform operations teams.
Mentor leaders and architects across AEM, Martech engineering, commerce services, and DevOps/SRE.
Create a culture of excellence in platform engineering, observability, documentation, and operational ownership.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Qualifications
12+ years leading digital platform, commerce, or Martech engineering/delivery organizations.
Deep hands-on expertise with Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, AEP, RT-CDP, Target, Analytics, Journey Optimizer, Campaign).
Proven leadership building and operating large-scale digital platforms with high availability and complex integrations.
Strong architectural background in APIs, microservices, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, identity management, and observability.
Experience running 24/7 enterprise digital operations with a disciplined SRE/DevOps approach.
Demonstrated success leading large multi-team delivery organizations with structured SDLC and velocity KPIs.
