Summary of Role:

VP, Business Finance and Operations is a strategic leader responsible for driving financial performance across GF’s business lines and transforming finance operations to enable profitable growth. This role oversees product line finance, pricing strategy, business operations, long-range planning, and commercial finance, while leading initiatives that modernize sales support and enhance decision-making through data-driven insights. 

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Financial Leadership 

  • Partner with Business Line leadership to define long-range financial strategy, margin targets, and capital allocation priorities aligned with GF’s enterprise goals. 

  • Translate strategic roadmaps (e.g., differentiated technology platforms, customer-centric growth, fab optimization) into financial objectives and performance measures. 

  • Provide strategic counsel on pricing, cost competitiveness, customer mix, and investment returns to ensure business line profitability. 

  • Support portfolio decisions — including fab expansion, R&D investment, and product roadmap alignment — through robust financial modeling and risk analysis.  

  • Provide leadership for Commercial Finance and oversee Sales Support Transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives and operational excellence.  

  • Direct Business Finance Operations, including the development and execution of pricing strategies, 8Q R&D planning and demand planning processes to optimize profitability, ROIC and resource allocation.  

  • Lead Product Line FP&A to deliver insightful analysis and support strategic decision-making across product portfolios. 

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) 

  • Lead development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans with clear linkages to operational metrics. 

  • Own full P&L accountability for business lines — revenue, COGS, gross margin, OPEX, and EBIT. 

  • Partner with Corporate FP&A to consolidate reporting and ensure accuracy, transparency, and insight across global sites. 

  • Deliver executive-level financial reporting and performance commentary to the CFO, CEO, and Board. 

3. Operational and Business Partnership 

  • Drive ROI-based decision frameworks for major customer programs, capacity expansion, and technology enablement initiatives.  

  • Collaborate with Product Line and Sales leaders to enhance pricing strategy, customer profitability, and mix management.  

  • Champion digital finance transformation — enabling advanced analytics, automation, and predictive planning capabilities. 

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Technology Development, and Supply Chain to optimize fab utilization, cost structure, and capital efficiency. 

  • Drive ROI-based decision frameworks for major customer programs, capacity expansion, and technology enablement initiatives. 

  • Collaborate with Product Line and Sales leaders to enhance pricing strategy, customer profitability, and mix management. 

  • Champion digital finance transformation and AI — enabling advanced analytics, automation, and predictive planning capabilities. 

4. Leadership & Talent Development 

  • Lead and develop a global team of finance professionals across business finance, operations, and commercial operations. 

  • Build strong succession and capability pipelines through mentoring and skills development in FP&A, cost management, pricing optimization and business partnership. 

  • Foster a high-performance culture grounded in transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

5. Governance, Compliance & Financial Integrity 

  • Ensure adherence to IFRS, SOX, and GF’s internal control framework. 

  • Partner with controllership, internal audit, enterprise FP&A, and investor relations to maintain accuracy and credibility of financial results. 

  • Uphold GF’s values of integrity, collaboration, and innovation in all financial operations. 

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

Education 

 Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. 

• MBA, CPA, or CFA designation preferred. 

Experience 

  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in semiconductor, technology, or advanced manufacturing sectors. 

  • Proven success leading FP&A or business finance functions in complex, global, matrixed organizations. 

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor industry dynamics — including fab operations, cost optimization, yield management, and capital-intensive investment cycles. 

  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, and Commercial teams to drive business outcomes. 

  • Experience leading finance transformation or digital enablement initiatives is highly desirable.

Expected Salary Range

$207,000.00 - $385,000.00
