Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for the assigned commodities. Continuously enhance purchasing expertise and knowledge of the local and global market trends.
- Develop cost reduction initiatives through VAVE, resource or negotiations for the assigned commodities. Track KPI's and deliver reports as assigned.
- Execute comprehensive RFQ process/market tests and support functional users in a timely manner while minimizing the risk and maximizing the value.
- Identify and develop strategic supply sources for the assigned commodities. Manage relationships with all suppliers, resolve supplier issues and optimize suppliers' performance.
- Support general business activities and requirements of the specific functional groups, carry out other duties as assigned.
- ERP system maintenance for prices, effective dates, schedule agreements, inflation reports for global systems
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the Company’s institutional image by developing and maintaining appropriate relationships with customers, suppliers, community, agents of public and private organizations.
- Ensure effective adherence and commitment to the ethical principles of the team that must guide the internal and external professional relationships through the systematic practice of the company's values.
- Ensure compliance with all Policies and Procedures related to Health and Safety adopted by the Company to contribute to the minimization of risks involving health and safety in the unit's routine, by accessing the need for specific training, spreading the established rules and standards, safe behavior at work, use of both collective and personal protective equipment, and also suggest improvements in the workplace.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics
Postgraduate or MBA in Business Management or Logistics as desired.
Negotiation techniques
Microsoft Office knowledge
Desired: Knowledge in SAP System (ERP)
At Least 5 years of experience
Fluent English
