What will you do?

A day in the life of an FP&A Analyst at Vans looks a little like this.

You will be responsible for supporting the Vans Americas Wholesale business in driving accurate and insightful Monthly Forecasts and supporting a broad range of business partners to drive actionable reporting, improved access to data/analytics, and helping to drive well informed decisions in pursuit of sustainable, long term profitable growth. The role will interact regularly with all levels of personnel within Vans North America Wholesale business as well as partners across VF.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the development of the Wholesale Annual Plan, Strategic Plan, and Forecast, including Revenue, Gross Margin, and SG&A across all regions and HQ overhead.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and consolidate Vans Americas financials for submission to the Enterprise via the corporate reporting system (BPS).

Business Analysis & Insights

  • Deliver timely, actionable ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making. Investigate key business drivers and trends to uncover root causes and inform strategic actions.

Performance Reporting

Publish monthly and quarterly reports, including:

  • Product Revenue and Margin
  • Wholesale Customer P&Ls
  • Expense Reporting
  • Account Trends
  • Customer Revenue and Inventory Reports

Marketing Partnership

  • Collaborate with Americas Marketing teams to support financial planning, performance reporting, and profitability analysis (e.g., ROAS).

Inventory & Supply Analysis

  • Provide scenario-based analysis, including weeks of supply, to support inventory optimization and demand planning.

Month-End Close Support

  • Partner with Accounting to perform variance analysis between Actuals and Forecast during month-end close.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Bachelor’s degree in BA, Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in BA, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, including macros, Pivot Tables, vlookup/hlookup and SUMIF(S)
  • Proficient in analyzing and creating business reports in Excel using large quantities of data
  • Experience utilizing BI tools (BOBJ/Cognos/PowerBi) and SAP ERP
  • Ability to synthesize data and communicate a clear story to diverse audiences
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude

Hiring Range:

$60,480.00 USD - $75,600.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
