Position Summary...

This position is responsible for strategically leading the Wellness portfolio, which accounts for a significant portion of the Breakfast, Bread and Baking Merchandising business. This includes developing and implementing portfolio strategies to maximize sales, minimize expenses, and increase return on investment. This position is also responsible for driving and inventory and SKU/Space optimization for customer and shareholder value and satisfaction.

What you'll do...

Merchandising Portfolio Strategy: Provides direction for Merchandising initiatives in alignment with Omni Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Merchandising goals; ensuring the aesthetics, quality, and trends for each product support customer needs; ensuring Merchant leadership alignment with creative brands and products; and monitoring the deployment of the annual budget as business needs, trends, and customer behaviors change.
Customer Experience and Shopping Habits: Delivers desired customer experiences by providing a wide assortment of quality and high-value products across all channels (for example, in-store, Walmart.com, Walmart Marketplace, Walmart Fulfillment Service); ensuring the presentation of merchandise in all channels (for example, feature and modular presentations, the Walmart mobile application, Walmart.com homepage, department pages, item pages) delivers a customer experience that drives sales, customer conversion, and customer satisfaction.
P&L Accountability: Oversees and manages the profit-and-loss for an entire portfolio (for example, snacks, ladies wear, toys) within the context of the Omni SBU Merchandising strategy; leading efforts to increase the profitability of the portfolio by managing costs while delivering industry-leading pricing.
Partnership with Leaders: Partners with other senior leaders to ensure Merchandising strategies align with other business unit strategies (for example, Operations, Replenishment, Marketing); collaborating with Merchandising Operations and eCommerce Merchandising Operations teams to efficiently and effectively achieve Omni SBU Merchandising objectives.
Marketing Differentiation and Competitive Advantage: Demonstrates expertise of portfolio competitive landscapes and competitive advantages; inspecting and adapting to the evolving Omni retail environment; providing new experiences to customers in order to deliver increased market share and wallet share and high customer retention.
Pricing Strategies: Ensures pricing strategies support portfolio objectives to drive return on investment and increase market share while maintaining company reputation as a price leader; leveraging pricing analytics intelligence in pricing strategy decisions.
Supplier Relations: Ensures the quality of supplier relationships within a portfolio by providing guidance and leadership to Merchants, Senior Merchants, and Merchandising Directors; engaging with senior supplier leadership in order to develop collaborative and beneficial relationships within the portfolio.
Merchandising Complexity: Oversees related category portfolios with moderate volume and complexity (for example, assortment complexity, supply chain complexity, managerial responsibility, sourcing requirements, industry standards, customer expectations).
Merchandising Business Development: Oversees the strategic annual business direction for the Omni Walmart US Merchandising function by aligning the strategy with the overall Omni Walmart US business objectives; building resource plans to support strategy initiatives; incorporating retail industry economic benchmarks and trends into strategies; prioritizing optimal performance related to timelines, risks, costs, and business impacts.
Transformative Talent Development: In partnership with People Partners, develops a talent strategy for Merchandising which clearly identifies the skills, experiences, and competencies needed to build the Merchandising function and to establish the function as an industry leader for the future; enabling associate development and career growth while maintaining a high-performance culture.

The annual salary range for this position is $225,000.00 - $500,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
