We are looking for passionate and motivated students who are interested in pursuing a career in media to join our team! This program is a paid, ten week summer internship from June to August 2026.
Our internships offer the opportunity to connect and collaborate across the FT — in the US and globally. You’ll develop ideas that help drive our growth, present your work to US leadership, and gain valuable insights from across the business. Plus, you’ll be paired with a dedicated Buddy to provide mentorship and support throughout your experience.
We’ve embraced a 50% hybrid working model (averaging two to three days onsite) that fosters trust and adaptability while encouraging in-person camaraderie and peer learning.
Please note: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
The FT’s US Editorial Summer Internship offers aspiring journalists a front-row seat to the fast-paced world of global news. This is your chance to learn from — and contribute to — a dynamic multimedia newsroom that values curiosity, creativity, and sharp storytelling.
No two days are the same. From breaking stories and in-depth research to innovative digital projects, you’ll work alongside editors and reporters to bring ambitious journalism to life. We’re looking for versatile, driven interns who are eager to dig into stories that matter and help shape how the world understands the news.
